Meet the Founder

Ohio Queens Lacrosse was founded by Kolbie Spagnolo in the Summer of 2023. Kolbie has been playing lacrosse for over 20 years and coaching since 2014. Kolbie has been the head varsity lacrosse coach at Brunswick High School since the 2018 season. She attended the University of Mount Union where she played soccer and lacrosse. While at Mount Union, she was a part of the Raiders inaugural lacrosse team in 2013 and went on to win 3 conference championships (2014, 2015, 2016) and make 3 NCAA appearances (2014, 2015, 2016). She was named 1st Team All-OAC (2014, 2015, 2016) and 1st Team All-Region (2015, 2016). She still holds the Mount Union Career Groundball Record (215). After graduating she returned to earn her master’s in Educational Leadership and be the assistant coach for the Raiders in 2017. While the assistant coach, she helped lead the Raiders to another conference championship and another NCAA sweet 16 appearance. Kolbie is a graduate of Hudson High (2012) where she was a 4-year letter winner for both soccer and lacrosse. While playing for Hudson she made two state lacrosse appearance in 2010 and 2011. She now lives in Medina, Ohio with her husband and two children.
